Phiale, sun disc, animals' feet as sun rays

Georgia Museums, Georgian National Museum, Tbilisi

Phiale with animals printed in the center. Their feet serve as the rays of the sun. Drinking cup (kantharos) from Vani, child's burial 4, is made in Athens, while a phiale with relief representations of animals from burial 2 of Vani is locally manufactured (first half of the 3rd Century B.C.).
