Sabretache Plate (Bezded)

The program of the Bezded sabretache plate has different interpretations. Some say that the symbol of the Christianity is surrounded by the tree of life, with a pair of mythic animals on either side. One of these animals is the Iranian Senmurv. According to another view the origin of the composition can be traced back to the symbolical representation of the crucifixion of the Carolingian Europe.
