Djed, tyet, leb, headrest group of amulets

Group of amulets

New Kingdom to Late Period, about 1550 - 600 B.C.

The amulets described in the papyrus of Ani. The Djed pillar associated the deceased with Osiris, and provided stability. The Tit endowed the wearer with the protection of Isis. The heart-amulet gave protection to the deceased's heart, while the headrest raised the deceased's head in resurrection, and prevented its being cut off.
