Text, Prescribed amulets, from the papyrus of Ani
European Museums, The British Museum19th Dynasty, about 1295 - 1186 B.C. From Thebes. Chapters 155, 156, 29B and 166 describe the function of four important amulets which were to be placed on the mummy, with instructions as to the material of which they were to be made, their preparation and positioning on the body. The amulets depicted are the Djed pillar, the Tit, or 'Girdle of Isis', the Heart, and the Headrest. EA 10470/33
