Solar disc, sun disc, solar cross, gold sheet
Irish Museums, National Museum of Ireland, DublinSun-discs are usually found in pairs. They are decorated with geometric designs sometimes incorporating a cross motif. They were probably sewn to garments using the central perforations. They are closely related to the so-called racquet-headed pins of central European origin.
