Solar cross on a church interior made from marble, limestone and glass. Interior of a church. Eastern Mediterranean, 5th century AD. Cubes of marble, limestone and glass paste. This synthetic representation of a choir shows two columns, a lattice fence in the lower part and a pair of curtains in the upper part. This architecture serves as a setting for a stool on which rests a cross. Under the building are represented a grasshopper and a hare devouring a bunch of grapes.
