Stele known as Amrit or Shadrapha Limestone 850-750 BC Tell Kazel, ancient Simyra (Syria) (?) Warrior god dressed in an Egyptian costume surmounted by a winged disc, standing on a lion that spans the mountains. The Phoenician inscription was engraved later, in the fifth century. av. J.-C: This stele (is the one) that Pillas, son of Abday gave to his lord Shadrapha, because he listened to the call of his words. (Trans. P. Bordreuil.) Discovered by A. Peretie. Former coll.
