The housings were used to store scales and weights. This magnificent copy bears dedications to Saint Michael, Saint Theodore, “to the grace of God”. A cross in a chapel is carved on the lid. An eagle, presented in a medallion by two angels, adorns the short side.

Les logements servaient à ranger les balances et les poids. Ce magnifique exemplaire porte des dédicaces à saint Michel, à saint Théodore, « à la grâce de Dieu ». Une croix dans une chapelle est sculptée sur le couvercle. Un aigle, présenté dans un médaillon par deux anges, orne le petit côté.
