Jade cong tube with small and large eyes design, National Palace Museum

On the outer walls of the jade cong tube are carved four sets of "small-eye and large-eye" masks. The upper mask of small eyes represents the deistic ancestors, while the lower mask of large eyes the mythical divine creatures. Liangzhu people believed in the trinity of deity, ancestor, and spiritual animal.
