The upper part is a sphere with a hole at the top surrounded by six other finger-sized holes; the lower part is a hollow stand with a solid recessed base with four domed openings with lobed edges.

The sphere is decorated with two roundels surrounding a diamond-shaped panel containing the same Arabic inscription and with four 'ruyi' cloud scrolls. In between these are two single stylized lotus blooms. At the top, surrounding the holes, is classic scroll, bordered by a six-lobed double ring.
