Solar disc, lotus and rosary on Shadakshari Lokesvara statuette, National Museum of Nepal. Shadakshari Lokesvara. (20th century A.D.) Boddhisvatta Avalokitesvara is very popular in the Mahayana sect of Buddhism. He is also known as Lokesvara. This image is seated in crossed-legged position on the double lotus base with his principal hands in anjalimudra, the gesture of adoration, remaining other hands are holding rosary and lotus stem.
