Magic sphere depicting Helios

This intricately carved sphere features a depiction of the god Helios, accompanied by a lion, a dragon, and an array of magical symbols. It was discovered buried near the Theater of Dionysos, a venue known for hosting duels and similar contests during the period in which the sphere was created.

Scholars have proposed that the object served as a ritual device, employed in magical practices intended to secure victory in these competitive events.
