A copy of Kore 685, painted with great accuracy by the experienced Swiss artist E. Gilliéron some one hundred years ago. The color is based on Gilliéron's own water color paintings completed immediately after the discovery of the sculpture south west of the Parthenon in 1888. Gilliéron captured the color of many archaic sculptures in his drawings when the colors were better preserved. His drawings provide invaluable witness for the recreation and presentation of the original colors of the Kore of the Acropolis. The copy has been provided to the Acropolis Museum by the homonymous great grandson of E. Gilliéron.

Αντίγραφο της Κόρης 685 ζωγραφισμένο με μεγάλη ακρίβεια πριν από 100 χρόνια από τον έμπειρο Ελβετό ζωγράφο Ε. Gilliéron αμέσως μετά την ανεύρεση του γλυπτού το 1888 ΝΔ του Παρθενώνα. Ο Gilliéron διέσωσε σε ακουαρέλες τα χρώματα πολλών αρχαϊκών γλυπτών που τότε σώζονταν καλύτερα. Τα σχέδια αυτά είναι πολύτιμες μαρτυρίες για την αναπαράσταση των χρωμάτων των Κοριών της Ακρόπολης. Το αντίγραφο παραχωρήθηκε από το ομώνυμο δισέγγονο του Ε. Gilliéron.
