Circular clay seals bearing a distinct cross design. Clay stamps decorated with religious symbols and inscriptions were used principally for marking loaves offered by the faithful for the liturgy, and small seals with Christian motifs could also serve as wearable or portable devotional objects. The seals highlight their practical function in the liturgical economy as well as their significance as tangible expressions of personal and communal piety.
