Gold and enamel hoop earrings

These gold band earrings feature decorative tops with complex spiral and circular patterns made using filigree techniques. The ornamental heads are connected to long thin gold bands that would hang down when worn, creating an elegant vertical line.

The earrings show typical Macedonian goldwork style with their elaborate spiral decorations arranged in rows at the top. A pair of earrings also has solar cross design on top. This type of long band earring was popular among wealthy women in ancient Macedonia.
