This is a fully preserved Parian marble kore statue found in Merenda, ancient Myrrhinous, Attica, standing atop the grave of Phrasikleia. The statue shows a young woman standing frontally wearing a decorated chiton with her right hand raised near her chest, featuring an elaborate crown-like headdress and long braided hair falling to her shoulders. Traces of painted decoration including rosettes, swastikas, stars, and meanders are still visible on the garment, showing the original colorful appearance of the sculpture.
