Close-up detail of the marble garment worn by the Phrasikleia Kore, showing the vertical folds of her chiton. Two distinct symbols are visible: a many-pointed star at the top and a circular rosette at the bottom, both of which are carved directly into the stone. The marble has a distinct reddish-pink tint, which is a remnant of the rich painted decoration that once covered the entire surface of the statue.
